Applying for JTF Funding

CNER submitted an Expression of Interest to the Just Transition Fund. We are requesting up to £250k from the £500m pot to fund a feasibility study examining Buchan Rail links. The JTF is part of the The Scottish Government cooperation deal, and #connectourcoast meets all the criteria.

CNER previously attended an event hosted by Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, and attended by Richard Lochhead MSP in which we presented our proposals for a railway connecting Dyce, Ellon, Peterhead and Fraserburgh. Our pitch came out on top after a vote of attendees.

Should our bid for funding be successful, CNER will engage with Aberdeenshire Council, Aberdeen City Council, and Nestrans to get this new feasibility study designed in line with our proposals, and in a way that maximises it's chances of success. It's time to #ConnectOurCoast

Editors Note: we were successful and were granted the full £250k
